History About Lyme And Bee Venom Therapy

By Stephen Stewart

Lyme disease is an ailment caused by bacterial infections spread by a bite from a tick. The bacteria are referred to as burgdorferi. All black legged and other species of ticks contain the bacteria. The tick gets the bacteria if they bite a mite or deer infected with this ailment. If the same tick bites you, it can infect you with lyme hence requiring lyme and bee venom therapy.

This disease was first heard of in the United States in the year 1977 in the town of Old Lyme. This disease has since been experienced in multiple parts of Europe and Asia. The disease has three stages where at stage one is known as early localized disease when the illness has not spread to the whole body. The second stage is known as the early disseminated disease where the bacteria start to spread to the body.

The third stage is known as late dispersed disease because the bacteria have widely stretched into the body system. The people at risk of acquiring this disease include people who carry out activities based in the open as it increases their chances of being bitten by the tick especially in areas where the disease is prone, those who have pets that are carrying ticks infected and people walking in areas that have high grass.

Ticks that infect people with the lyme disease have the following very vital facts; the tick needs to be attached to ones body for hours between 24 and 36 so that the bacteria can successfully get into your blood, when a blacklegged tick is attached to your body, its hard to see them because they are small in size thus one can be infected unknowingly. The other important fact is that not everyone that is bitten by these ticks gets the disease.

Apitherapy is the method where experts use products formed by bees to heal lyme. The major product is the bee venom amid other smaller products that consist of raw honey, bee bread, pollen, bee wax and jelly. The main motive for using the product is to lift up flow of blood, reduction of irritation and duplication of strong immune reaction.

Before one undergoes treatment, accurate diagnosis of the disease is critical. The practitioners of apitherapy mix bee products and bee venom combining it with raw honey applying it topically as a cream. The cream is applied on places that have been bitten by the tick. The process helps in places bitten by the tick.

The techniques used in treating Lyme consist of whole stings, mini stings and micro stings. Those who opt for stings undergo a test sting that is meant to determine their sensitivity. One percentage or less people of the people are allergic to bee venom. There is a traditional way that is used to treat the disease where a needle is dipped into a venom solution and administering into the body.

Bee therapy is an old method of curing the disease. According to records, bee venom can also be used to treat other different diseases. Those considering the procedure to cure the ailment should ask for advice from professionals first. The therapy falls under the category of herbal medicines.
