There has been some uproar lately in the state of Tennessee as there have been some representatives who are aiming to pass a bill that would legalize the use of marijuana. Basically, if this Tennessee marijuana legalization bill is approved, then the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes would be allowed in this state. If this happens, then the state will be a part of the large group of states in America that allows the use of cannabis.
Now the man behind the bill is the state representative Sherry Jones. Now he noticed that marijuana or cannabis is actually beneficial to those who have conditions that would cause them some pain. Cannabis can actually be used as an alternative to drugs or regular pain killers as the side effects are not as bad as the conventional drugs.
Now one of the problems with this bill is that people would always have a common misconception about the substance because of drug abusers. Since drug abusers would just smoke this substance, get high, and do things that would affect public peace, many see this substance as a source of trouble. However, what they do not see is that it can be used as medicines if transformed into one.
Now basically, the bill states that anyone can use this substance as long as he is suffering a chronic illness that would merit him to. However, before he would use this drug, it has to first be prescribed by an official doctor. Also, the state health department would also have to approve of the usage before it can be used.
Of course not everyone will be allowed to use this drug legally even if this law permits. Now before one would be allowed to use this drug, the authorities will be doing a background check on him. If the authorities find that he has a drug abuse record or criminal record, then he will still not be allowed to use it even if he is sick.
Of course when it comes to where he uses the drug, there are a few restrictions that users must follow. First, he is not allowed to use it in public transportation like buses or trains or anywhere near school areas. Also, he cannot use it in places where there is a huge volume of people that may be affected by the smoke.

This act was named after a young girl who is two years old and is suffering from a disorder that makes her have frequent seizures. The thing that was able to decrease the effects of her disorder was actually a substance that had some components of marijuana in it.
Now mister Jones has actually been trying to pass this bill for about a year already but failed. The first time he tried to pass the bill, it was flat out rejected by a unanimous decision. However, due to the people becoming more involved with state politics and many supporters of this bill, it might actually be approved this time.
